One more time

All right, they say "don't die with your music still in you". Well, I've been turning it over on how to make my private world palatable to the public. A good story, and characters people can identify with, and care about, that's the trick ain't it? Whether this will just be a comic, a Flash project, or a full fledged motion picture, all I can say is...

Wonderfulness...

I miss this style of drawing...Things had volume back then.

The real McCoy!

Here's the old trooper..!

Ancient CG Part II

First time making goblets on the old IBM PCs. I was floored...! Back then, that is.

Good ol' pen plotter print out too, I think.

1987

It was 20 years ago today...Next year. But I drew this with a mouse on an IBM PC at Lakeland Community College in my first computer graphics class. Couldn't wait til next year!

This planet is just a bundle of nerves.

Something from a 1990 sketchbook. Helping a friend in Florida using Deluxe Paint while I was still living in good ol' N.E. Ohio at the time. I was also the first time I ever used a modem to email the artwork to anyone. I think this was just Rapidiograph pen and ink.

Real Heroes

'Nuff said. No more arm-chair "country club" generals.

Please.

the MetroCel days

Here's a sketch I did for the company T-shirt when we were digitally painting some Ren and Stimpy shows. The shirts were never made. But those were great times, even after the Northridge quake.

Still here

Survived dental work, the coffee pot burn and jury duty. Just some slices from my little dramas this year. Now my computer lab job is in trouble again. But Woodbury University has resumed classes for the Fall, so I have to get going.

Aye Aye Captain

Ok, I don't work at Nickelodeon, but I had fun drawing and then warping good ol' Spongebob with Photoshop. Took this from my sketchbook during my trip to Canada.

Here's some work I did at 1on1animation this spring. Still needs more work. But I owe this success to MIKE POLVANI. Have a look!

New Sketches-Yes!

Yay! New art finally! Its not Siggraph or San Diego Comicon, but sometimes nothing beats doodling on the porch at a cabin up in Ontario, Canada.

King of the Hill, Hank's dad.

Cotton Hill. Selfish, hostile son of a gun. That's why we like him! (Copyright Fox)

Here's one of my first scenes when I worked on the show's 3rd season. Wish I could have done more funny stuff like this. (Copyright Fox)

"Breakin' my money-maker?!?"

(Art by Hayao Miyazaki)
First I took a spill on my old ten-speed a few years ago, and banged up my right elbow. Then on this 4th of July I had my own "internal" fireworks by spilling a cup of coffee straight from the machine onto my right wrist! Very clumsy, very painful. Can't damage my main "graphic interface" too much more. Made me sit down and think, and be grateful.

It could have been much, much worse. Still hurt like Hell. Before this happened, I was watching the "Princess Mononoke" and I kept noticing how Ashitaka's arm became scarred fighting the giant boar who took on the curse. Premonition? Didn't get the message I guess.

Just wish "Denny's" architects didn't swipe so much from this design.
