Pixar - Exorcist mashup: The Pixarcist

Okay, I had to goof off, and blow off a little steam, especially after seeing that "Pixar Fest" is coming to Disneyland. Surprised no one else has thought of this!

With apologies to director William Friedkin,
and writer William Peter Blatty.

(copyright Pixar and Warner Bros.)

And of course, apologies to Ed Catmull, John Lasseter and Steve Jobs.
And I forgot about Woody doing the head turn thing!

Mark Twain - Star Wars - Jedi Knight - Lightsaber

Hello blog, things have been hot and hairy in August, so here's a Halloween idea as we enter into Autumn:

(Light saber copyright Disney/Lucasfilm)

Some hastily done Photoshop bashing.
With apologies to Mr. Twain, and the unknown photographer.
Enjoy!

Frosty the Snowman directed by James Cameron

Just some quick bashing in Photoshop...
Update: Good to see it again on CBS.
(original copyright Rankin/Bass)

I thought it would be a kick if James Camero, or Ridley Scott directed the old Rankin/Bass Frosty the Snowman TV special...

(copyright 20th Century Fox)

Of course, if it were this intense, it wouldn't be fun.
Just trying to get some ideas down, don't know when I can finish this...

Joker Mashup... with Marcie?

Hello Batfans, and Charlie Brown aficionados, just blowin' off steam with another mashup.

(copyright Time/Warner and United Feature Syndicate)

With everything that's going on in the world,
I just thought it would be funny to have Marcie assist the Joker for a while.
The Joker would finally have Gotham City on it's knees,
only to have Marcie question everything:

"Why did you do that sir?"

"Stop calling me sir!"

Zootopia meets Pixar Presto mashup

Sorry, with all the death and destruction going on in the world, I could not resist bashing this together.

UPDATE:
Happy Easter!

2001: A Space Odyssey - Doctor Who mashup

Need to cause trouble for some summer fun:

Here's a quick mashup of the TARDIS on the pod deck of the Discovery.

 (original copyrights MGM and BBC)

I don't know which Doctor this would be. It would be interesting to see how the Doctor would handle HAL... and then the Monolith orbiting Jupiter.

Hawkman vs. Daredevil

This is a lot tougher than I thought. Really got to tip my hat to Ross over at http://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/

(art copyright Marvel/Disney and DC/Time-Warner)

This was bashed together from low rez jpegs of Daredevil #20 and Hawkman #4.

Now I know.

Green Lantern vs. Tweety Bird

Green Lantern vs. Tweety Bird: I'm surprised that no one has done this mashup before. I must have too much time on my hands.

(All artwork copyright Time/Warner)

Lately, I've sort of been competing with Ross over at http://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/

Ross does marvelous comic covers with different superheroes who would not normally get together. This is usually due to copyright issues between Marvel, DC and other comic book publishers. My mashups have a more humorous bent, and I feel like picking on Green Lantern this morning.

Most comic fans will know the back story of the Green Lanterns, and the limits imposed on them by the Guardians of the Universe. If you dig this cover, then I don't need to belabor the point.

I'll admit that I enjoyed the Darkest Night series, but I always think twice when I pick up a GL comic. Looking back on Hal Jordan's rough past, I can see him taking the place of Star-Lord in "Guardians".
I'm still skeptical of most super hero movies. Phantom Menace really let me down, and I saw Green Lantern on the plane once(and tried to walk out.)

(rimshot! sorry.)

After a bunch of lerpy Silver Age adventures where a character like Tweety could cause as much trouble as Mr. Mxyzptlk or Batmite, Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams put Green Lantern on a much more dramatic course in 1970.

No more mustard, lemons or banana peels now folks.

Disney Fantasia Ostrich Ballerina meets Wander over Yonder Sylvia

Still trying to get back in my groove after my trip to Canada...

Here's another quick mashup of Wander over Yonder's Sylvia, and the Ostrich Ballerina from Disney's Fantasia. The potential for calamity here must be astronomical. I wonder how long Sylvia would put up with "Mademoiselle Upanova's" haughty attitude...

Probably a whole 2 seconds I would think...

(All artwork copyright Disney Corp., strangely enough.)
Enjoy!

Napoleon Dynamite Avengers Mashup

June 3rd 204 California elections-
I know who I'm for...

(Artwork copyright Disney/Marvel; Fox-Searchlight Pictures)

More screwing around with Photoshop; I'm surprised no one hasn't done this before.

With apologies to John Byrne, Jared Hess and Jerusha Hess, and all those fine folks at Disney/Marvel/Younameitweown Corporation.

Update: MY GOOF-Quicksilver's first name is Pietro, not Pedro.

The Iron Giant vs Max from Cats Don't Dance

More screwing around. Darla Dimple has returned, out for revenge! And she has found a growth serum that turned her malevolent man-servant Max into a 50 ft monster. Their plan is to destroy old Hollywood, and the only thing standing up to them is the Iron Giant, and Hogarth Hughes.

Couldn't resist this. Work in progress.

Beany and Cecil - Rocky and Bullwinkle Saturday Morning Mashup

Okay, I haven't posted in awhile, and I needed to cause some mischief between Halloween and Thanksgiving: What if the classic Saturday morning teams of Rocky and Bullwinkle had to swap partners with Beany and Cecil? No, not that kind of swap! I was feeling nostalgic again, and wondered how much fun a team-up with Rocky and Cecil, and Beany and Bullwinkle would be in a 60's Saturday Morning Mashup. I've Googled this, and no one else seems to have done it before, so I went for broke.

(Artwork originally copyright of Bill Ward and Jay Scott, plus Bob Clampett!)

We basically still have young, plucky little guys with big, dumb but lovable buddies. Technically, I think it would work. Dishonest John would still get the better of Bullwinkle (until the end). And I'll bet Cecil would love to thrash Boris Badenov.

I did something like this with Johnny Socko and the Iron Giant last year. I think this would be fun:)

UPDATE: Bullwinkle DID team up with Beany Boy briefly on an ad for Thermos lunchboxes. Looks like the mid 1960's to me.

Johnny Sokko Iron Giant Mashup

Sorry, I couldn't resist this; I'm surprised no one else has done this before. (Maybe it's a bad idea.) Or no one remembers Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot.

Anyway, What If Hogarth Hughes and Johnny Sokko had to trade robots for a mission?
If you remember, both robots get blown up at the end... Or did they?
It would be even scarier if Giant Robot and the Iron Giant had to fight each other; who would win?
I know, I should get back to work. Just blowing off steam from the CTN Expo
http://www.ctnanimationexpo.com/

With apologies to the Toei Company Ltd., Mitsunobu Kaneko, Brad Bird and the crew at Warner Brothers Animation. (All artwork copyright Toei Company Ltd. and Warner Brothers Feature Animation.)
